Some Whanganui architecture

I get quite nostalgic when I see these older buildings and facades.

Hospital and Charitable Aid Board

Hubby thinks this is an unfinished lighthouse.

Some of these buildings remind me of the town where I grew up.

Hiya Betty,

such wonderfully sharp pictures. Lovely buildings which remind me a little of Corning NY.
Do you go back for visits?

I love visiting towns where they try to keep much of the original architecture.

I love old buildings, they have so much character. I wonder if that is an unfinished lighthouse as your hubby mentioned. It sure looks like it could be.

They don't make them like they used to! I think it's a shame modern buildings lack the style and quality of years ago.
